The SRX918S is a single 18-inch active subwoofer designed to complement SRX900 Series full-range sound reinforcement systems. The subwoofer houses a JBL 2279-1 18-inch woofer featuring Differential Drive® – JBL’s dual voice coil, dual gap technology – to deliver better heat dissipation, lower power compression, and wider dynamic range than conventional single-coil designs.

SUB 18 Studio subwoofer. (Speaker Only. Requires External Power Amplifier) Designed for applications in which very high continuous output and extended low frequency performance are required. Delivers unprecedented performance for demanding dance music production, while providing exceptional accuracy required in cinema post production applications. As an add-on to JBL’s M2 Master Reference Monitor system, the SUB18 allows three times greater output from the system.
